INTRODUCTION

Shangla Lot covers 12% of the area and 15% of total estimated population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province includes Shangla, Swat and Buner districts. This lot spans from 34 o -9‘ to 35 o -54‘ N latitudes and from 72 o -5‘ to 73 o -1‘ E longitude, covering the Northern regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
This Lot shares borders with Battagram and Kohistan Districts in the North, Dir and Malakand in West, Mardan and Swabi Districts in the South-East, and Mansehra District in the East.
